Thuyết hợp nhất về chấp nhận và sử dụng công nghệ ( Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology ) được phát triển bởi Venkatesh và cộng sự (2003) với mục đích kiểm tra sự chấp nhận và sử dụng công nghệ cách tiếp cận thống nhất hơn. Dựa trên Thuyết hành vi kế hoạch (còn gọi là Thuyết hành vi hoạch định - Theory of Planning Behaviour - TPB) của Ajzen (1991) và Mô hình chấp nhận công nghệ (TAM) của Davis (1989), Taylor và Todd (1995) đã xây dựng một mô hình Thuyết hành vi kế hoạch phân tách ( Decomposed Theory of Planned Behavior - DTPB). Theo lý thuyết này, 3 yếu tố của Thuyết hành vi kế hoạch (TPB) là Thái độ ( Attitude ), Niềm tin quy chuẩn ( Subjective Norm ) và Niềm tin kiểm soát ( Perceived behavioral control ) được phân tách thành 9 yếu tố. Production Yield là một thuật ngữ dùng trong sản xuất dùng để chỉ tỷ lệ phần trăm giữa số lượng thành phẩm đạt (Non-defective) trên tổng số lượng thành phẩm sản xuất ra . Production Yield = the number of non-defective items / the number of manufactured items. Vì vậy, có thể gọi  Production Yield  là năng suất sản xuất. Tỷ số này đặc biệt có ý nghĩa đối với các lĩnh vực sản xuất mà có quá trình sản xuất mà trải qua nhiều công đoạn tuần tự ( sequential operations ). Công đoạn tuần tự  (Sequential operation) : Là một quá trình sản xuất bao gồm các công đoạn sản xuất liên tiếp nhau và liên tục: Bán thành phẩm của công đoạn trước lập tức trở thành nguyên liệu đầu vào của công đoạn sau.
